1. Remove the valve rocker arm bolts.

2. Remove the valve rocker arms.

The intake rocker arms (1) have an offset design.

IMPORTANT: Place the valve rocker arms, valve pushrods, and pivot

support, in a rack so they can be installed in the same
location from which they were removed.

3. Remove the valve rocker arm pivot support.

4. Remove the pushrods.

1. Remove the cylinder head bolts (220, 221).

2. Remove the cylinder head (218).

IMPORTANT: The cylinder head bolts are of a torque-to-yield design and

are NOT to be used again. Install NEW cylinder head bolts
during assembly.

NOTE:

After removal, place the cylinder head on 2 wood blocks in
order to prevent damage to the sealing surfaces.
