In the event of a breakdown

Access to the spare wheel
and tools

tools provided

the following tools are installed in a carrier,
located in the centre of the spare wheel:
1. Wheelbrace
2. Jack with handle
3. Removable towing eye.
Refer to the "towing the vehicle" section.

tyre pressures

these are indicated on the label affixed to the
middle pillar of the left door, driver's side.
Refer to the "Identification markings" section.

All of these tools are specific to your
vehicle and can vary according to
equipment. Do not use them for any
other purposes.
Never go underneath a vehicle
supported only by a jack (use an axle
stand).
Never use a jack other than the one
listed by the manufacturer. If your
vehicle does not have one, contact
a PeugeOt dealer or a qualified
workshop to obtain the correct jack for
your vehicle.

Depending on version, the spare wheel and
tools are stowed in the boot under the floor.
F Remove the boot carpet.
F Remove the tool carrier.
F Slacken the central wheel retaining bolt.
F Remove the wheel.

Removing a wheel

F Remove the label from the middle of the

spare wheel (indicating that a wheel needs
repair), and fix it inside the vehicle, where
the driver can see it.

F Remove the wheel trim using the end of the

wheelbrace.

F Slacken the wheel bolts using the

wheelbrace 1.

F Position the foot of the jack 2 on the ground

and ensure that it is directly below one
of the jacking points A or B located on
the underbody, closest to the wheel to be
changed.

ensure that the jack is stable. If the ground is slippery or loose, the jack may slip or drop -
Risk of injury!
ensure that the jack is positioned only at one of the jacking points A or B under the vehicle,
making sure that the vehicle's contact area is centred on the head of the jack. Otherwise
there is a risk of damage to the vehicle and/or of the jack dropping - Risk of injury!

F extend the jack 2 until its head is in contact

with the jacking point A or B used. the
contact area A or B on the vehicle used
must engage correctly with the middle of
the head of the jack.

Fitting the "space-saver"
type spare wheel

If your vehicle is fitted with alloy wheels,
it is normal to notice when tightening
the wheel bolts that the washers do not
come into contact with the "space-
saver" type spare wheel. the wheel is
secured by the conical contact surface
on each bolt.

Fitting a wheel

F Remove the bolts and put then in a clean

place.

F Remove the wheel.

F Raise the vehicle until there is sufficient

space between the wheel and the ground,
so that the (not punctured) spare wheel can
be easily fitted.

F tighten the wheel bolts using the

wheelbrace 1.

F Store the tools and the wheel in the boot.

F Lower the vehicle to the ground.
F Fold the jack 2 and detach it.

After changing a wheel

As soon as possible, have the
tightness of the wheel bolts and the
pressure of the spare wheel checked
by a PeugeOt dealer or a qualified
workshop.
Have the punctured tyre repaired or
replaced and refit it to the vehicle as soon
as possible.

Do not exceed 50 mph (80 km/h) when
using the "space-saver" spare wheel.

F Position the wheel on the hub.
F Screw in the bolts fully by hand.
F Pre-tighten the bolts using the

wheelbrace 1 only.

the lane departure warning system
should be deactivated when driving with
a spare wheel fitted.

Changing a bulb

Front lamps

1. Sidelamps (LeDs*).
2. Direction indicators (PY21W amber).
3. Dipped beam / Main beam headlamps

(HiR2-55W).

4. Front foglamps.
5. Daytime running lamps (LeDs*).

In some weather conditions (e.g. low
temperature or humidity), the presence
of misting on the internal surface of the
glass of the headlamps and rear lamps
is normal; it disappears after the lamps
have been on for a few minutes.

the headlamps have polycarbonate
lenses with a protective coating:
F do not clean them using a dry

or abrasive cloth, nor with a
detergent or solvent product,

F use a sponge and soapy water or a

pH neutral product,

F when using a high pressure washer

on persistent marks, do not keep
the lance directed towards the
lamps or their edges for too long,
so as not to damage their protective
coating and seals.

Changing a bulb should only be done
after the headlamp has been switched
off for several minutes (risk of serious
burns).
F Do not touch the bulb directly with

your fingers, use a lint-free cloth.

It is imperative to use only anti-ultraviolet
(uV) type bulbs to avoid damaging the
headlamp.
Always replace a failed bulb with a
new bulb with the same type and
specification.

Direction indicators
(PY 21W amber)

Sidelamps (LeDs)

F turn the bulb holder one quarter of a turn

and remove it.

F Remove the bulb and change it.
If you encounter any difficulties, contact a
PeugeOt dealer or a qualified workshop.

For the replacement of these lamps, contact a
PeugeOt dealer or a qualified workshop.

Dipped / Main beam headlamps
(HiR2-55W)

F Remove the protective cover by pulling the

clip.

F Spread the spring to free the bulb holder.
F Remove the assembly of bulb holder and

bulb and change it.

to reassemble, carry out these operations in
reverse order.
If you encounter any difficulties, contact a
PeugeOt dealer or a qualified workshop.

Front foglamps

For replacement of these bulbs, contact a
PeugeOt dealer or a qualified workshop.

LeD daytime running lamps

For the replacement of these lamps, contact a
PeugeOt dealer or qualified workshop.

Foglamp (P21W), offside

Rear lamps

these bulbs are changed by removing the lamp
unit:
F Open the boot.
F tip the plastic cover and remove the screw.
F Move the boot trim firmly aside.

Deformation of the trim is normal.

F unscrew the nut and remove it (take care

not to drop it in the wing).

F Remove the lamp unit by pulling it firmly

outwards.

F At the back of the lamp, remove the failed

bulb and change it.

When refitting, proceed in the reverse order,
taking care to position the lamp unit correctly.

Number plate lamps
(W5W)

F Insert a thin screwdriver into one of the

cutouts in the the lens.

F Push it outwards to unclip it.
F Remove the lens.
F Change the faulty bulb.

third brake lamp
(4 W5W bulbs)

F With the boot open, unclip the plastic cover.
F Press the metal clips to disengage the lamp.
F Remove the lamp via the exterior of the

tailgate.

F Remove the bulb-holder by squeezing the

plastic catches.

F Change the failed bulb(s).

Direction indicator side repeaters
(WY5W amber)

F Push the repeater forwards or rearwards

and detach it by pulling towards you.

F Disconnect the bulb holder and change it.

to refit, press on the lens to clip it in place.

to refit, carry out these operations in reverse
order.

Changing a fuse

Access to tools

the fuseboxes are located behind the
dashboard in the passenger compartment and
next to the battery under the bonnet.

the extraction tweezer is fixed at the front of
the underbonnet fusebox.
F unclip the plastic cover, located below

the windscreen, by pressing on the
two catches.

F unclip the fusebox cover by pressing on

the lug on the right.

F Remove the tweezer.

When unclipping the plastic cover, take
care not to remove the seal.

Before changing a fuse, it is necessary to:
F immobilise the vehicle and switch off the

ignition,

F switch off all electrical consumers,
F identify the failed fuse using the fuse

allocation tables and diagrams in the
following pages,

F identify and correct the cause of the

problem.

Replacing a fuse

tweezer

When replacing a fuse, you must always:
F use the special tweezer to extract the fuse

from its holder and check the condition of
its element,

F replace a failed fuse by on of the same

rating (same colour) ; the use of a different
rating fuse could cause a fault (risk of fire).

If the problem recurs after replacing the fuse,
have the vehicle's electrical system checked by
PeugeOt dealer or a qualified workshop.

PeugeOt will not accept any
responsibility for the costs incurred
in repairing your vehicle or for the
malfunctions resulting from the
installation of auxiliary accessories which
were not supplied or recommended by
PeugeOt and which were not installed
in accordance with its instructions, in
particular where the current consumption
of all the the additional equipment
connected exceeds 10 milliamps.

Installation of electrical
accessories

Your vehicle's electrical system is
designed to operate with standard or
optional equipment.
Before installing other electrical
equipment or accessories on your
vehicle, contact a PeugeOt dealer or
a qualified workshop.

Dashboard fuses

the fusebox is located below the dashboard
(driver's side).
F unclip the plastic cover for access to the

fuses.

When you have finished, carefully refit the
cover.
