BCM : Diagnosis Procedure

CHECK FUSE AND FUSIBLE LINK
Check that the following fuse and fusible link are not blown.
Is the fuse fusing?
YES
>> Replace the blown fuse or fusible link after repairing the affected circuit if a fuse or fusible link is
blown.
NO
>> GO TO 2.
2.
CHECK POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT
1.
Turn ignition switch OFF.
2.
Disconnect BCM connectors.
3.
Check voltage between BCM harness connector and ground.
Is the measurement value normal?
YES
>> GO TO 3.
NO
>> Repair harness or connector.
3.
CHECK GROUND CIRCUIT
Check continuity between BCM harness connector and ground.
Does continuity exist?
YES
>> INSPECTION END
NO
>> Repair harness or connector.

NO
>> GO TO 2.

CHECK POWER WINDOW MOTOR POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT
1.
Turn ignition switch OFF.
2.
Disconnect BCM connector and power window motor connector.
3.
Check continuity between BCM harness connector and power window motor harness connector.
*: Passenger side
4.
Check continuity between BCM harness connector and ground.
*: Passenger side
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
>> Replace BCM. Refer to
BCS-20, "Removal and Installation"
NO
>> Repair or replace harness.

Check continuity between power window main switch harness connector and BCM harness connector.
4.
Check continuity between BCM harness connector and ground.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
>> Replace BCM. Refer to
BCS-20, "Removal and Installation"
NO
>> Repair or replace harness.

Check that driver side power window operates when power window main switch for driver side is operated to
the UP or DOWN position.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
>> Power window main switch (driver side) function is OK.
NO
>> Refer to

CHECK POWER WINDOW MAIN SWITCH OUTPUT SIGNAL
1.
Turn ignition switch ON.
2.
Check voltage between power window main switch harness connector and ground.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
>> Power window main switch (driver side) function is OK.
NO
>> GO TO 2.
2.
CHECK POWER WINDOW MAIN SWITCH (DRIVER SIDE)
Check power window main switch (driver side). Refer to
PWC-13, "DRIVER SIDE : Component Inspection"
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
>> GO TO 3.
NO
>> Replace power window main switch. Refer to
PWC-46, "Removal and Installation"
3.
CHECK INTERMITTENT INCIDENT
GI-38, "Intermittent Incident"
