CHECK FUNCTION
1.
Unlock all doors using main power window and door lock/unlock switch.
2.
Press the back door opener switch.
Does the back door open?
YES
>> Door lock actuator is OK.
NO
>> GO TO 2.
2.
CHECK FUNCTION
With CONSULT-III
Check back door opener request switch “BK DOOR OPNR SW” in “Data Monitor” mode.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
>> Refer to

CHECK BACK DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR SIGNAL
1.
Ensure the door lock system is in the unlock position.
2.
Turn ignition switch OFF.
3.
Press the back door opener switch while checking voltage
between BCM connector M20 terminals 68 and ground.

1.
Disconnect BCM and back door lock assembly.
2.
Check continuity between BCM connector (A) M20 terminal 68
and back door lock assembly connector (B) D405 terminal 1.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
>> GO TO 3.
NO
>> Repair or replace harness.
3.
CHECK BACK DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR GROUND CIRCUIT
Check continuity between back door lock assembly connector D405
terminal 2 and ground.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
>> Replace back door lock assembly.
NO
>> Repair or replace harness.
4.
CHECK DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR HARNESS
1.
Disconnect BCM and back door lock actuator.

Perform Active Test TRUNK/GLASS HATCH with CONSULT-III.
2.
Touch “OPEN” and check that trunk lid opens.

YES

1.
Turn ignition switch OFF.

Ensure door lock system is unlocked.
3.
Check voltage between BCM connector and ground.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES

NO

2.
CHECK TRUNK LID OPENER ACTUATOR CIRCUIT
1.
Disconnect BCM and trunk lamp switch and trunk release solenoid connectors.
2.
Check continuity between BCM connector (A) M20 terminal 68
and trunk lamp switch and trunk release solenoid connector (B)
B66 terminal 2.
