CHECK IGNITION KNOB SWITCH INPUT SIGNAL
Check ignition knob switch (“PUSH SW”) in “Data Monitor” mode with CONSULT-III. Refer to
LOCK : CONSULT-III Function (BCM - DOOR LOCK)"

>> Ignition knob switch is OK.
NO

Diagnosis Procedure

1.
CHECK IGNITION KNOB SWITCH INPUT SIGNAL
1.
Turn ignition switch OFF.
2.
Disconnect Intelligent Key unit and BCM connectors.
3.
Check voltage between Intelligent Key unit harness connector
and ground.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
>> GO TO 5.
NO
>> GO TO 2.
2.
CHECK IGNITION KNOB SWITCH POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT
1.
Disconnect key switch and ignition knob switch connector.

Check voltage between key switch and ignition knob switch har-
ness connector and ground.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
>> GO TO 3.
NO
>> Repair or replace harness.
3.
CHECK IGNITION KNOB SWITCH SIGNAL CIRCUIT
1.
Check continuity between Intelligent Key unit harness connector
(A) M52 terminal 27 and key switch and ignition knob switch
connector (B) M32 terminal 3.
2.
Check continuity between Intelligent Key unit connector (A) M52 terminal 27 and ground.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
>> GO TO 4.
NO
>> Repair or replace harness.
4.
CHECK IGNITION KNOB SWITCH
Check ignition knob switch function.
Refer to
XX-XX, "*****"

Is the inspection result normal?
YES
>> GO TO 5.
NO
>> Replace key switch and ignition knob switch.
5.
CHECK INTERMITTENT INCIDENT
