REPLACE INTELLIGENT KEY UNIT
1.
Replace Intelligent Key unit. Refer to
SEC-79, "Removal and Installation"
2.
Perform initialization with CONSULT-III. Re-register all mechanical keys. Refer to “CONSULT-III operation
instruction NATS-IVIS/NVIS”.
3.
Start the engine.
Does the engine start?
YES

CHECK FUSE AND FUSIBLE LINK
Check that the following fuse is not blown.
Is the fuse blown?
YES
>> Replace the blown fuse after repairing the affected circuit if a fuse is blown.
NO
>> GO TO 2.

CHECK POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT
1.
Turn ignition switch OFF.
2.
Disconnect Intelligent Key unit connector.
3.
Check voltage between Intelligent Key unit harness connector
M52 terminals 6, 10, 11 and ground.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
>> GO TO 3.
NO
>> Repair harness or connector.

Diagnosis Procedure

1.
CHECK DOOR LOCK AND UNLOCK INPUT SIGNAL
1.
Turn ignition switch OFF.
2.
Disconnect door lock and unlock switch connector.
3.
Using an oscilloscope, check voltage between door lock and
unlock switch harness connector (A) D7 terminal 6, connector
(B) D8 terminal 18 and ground.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
>> GO TO 3.
NO
>> GO TO 2.
