SUNLOAD SENSOR
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
>> INSPECTION END
NO
>> Replace the sunload sensor.
4.
CHECK SUNLOAD SENSOR OPEN CIRCUIT
1.
Turn the ignition switch OFF.
2.
Disconnect the A/C auto amp. connector.
3.
Check continuity between sunload sensor harness connector and A/C auto amp. harness connector.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
>> GO TO 5.
NO
>> Repair the harnesses or connectors.
5.
CHECK SUNLOAD SENSOR SHORT CIRCUIT
Check continuity between sunload sensor harness connector and the ground.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
>> Replace the A/C auto amp.
NO
>> Repair the harnesses or connectors.

1.
Turn the ignition switch ON.
2.
Check the input voltage from sunload sensor between A/C auto amp. harness connector and the ground.
Refer to the applicable table for the normal value.

Description

COMPONENT DESCRIPTION
• The air mix door motor (1) is installed to the A/C unit assembly.
• The step motor system is adopted for air mix door motor.
• When a drive signal is input from auto amp. to door motor, a step
motor built into the door the door motor rotates according to the
drive signal, and then stops at the position of target door.
DRIVE SYSTEM OF STEP MOTOR TYPE DOOR MOTOR
• Motor is actuated in sequence by energizing four drive coils.
• Rotation direction can be changed by changing pattern of excitation.
Diagnosis Procedure

CHECK FUSE
Check 10A fuse [No. 2, located in the fuse block (J/B)].
NOTE:
Refer to
PG-77, "Fuse, Connector and Terminal Arrangement"
.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
>> GO TO 2.
NO
>> Replace fuse after repairing the applicable circuit.
2.
CHECK POWER SUPPLY OF AIR MIX DOOR MOTOR
1.
Turn the ignition switch OFF.
2.
Disconnect the air mix door motor connector.
3.
Turn the ignition switch ON.
4.
Check voltage between air mix door motor harness connector and the ground.

YES
>> GO TO 4.
NO
>> Repair the harnesses or connectors.
4.
CHECK CONTINUITY BETWEEN A/C AUTO AMP. AND GROUND
Check continuity between A/C auto amp. harness connector and the ground.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
>> GO TO 5.
NO
>> Repair the harnesses or connectors.
5.
CHECK AIR MIX DOOR MOTOR
Perform the component inspection of air mix door motor. Refer to
HAC-45, "Component Inspection"
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
>> Replace the A/C auto amp.
NO
>> Replace the air mix door motor.
