Turn ignition switch ON and wait for 2 seconds or more.

Check “Self Diagnostic Result”.

Description

Automatic back door control unit receive ignition power supply condition signal from BCM via CAN communi-
cation, and compare the signal with ignition power supply condition of automatic back door control unit to
detect inflammation.

PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE
1.
Turn ignition switch ON and wait for at least 1 second.
2.
Check “Self Diagnostic Result” with CONSULT-III.
Is DTC detected?
YES
>> Go to
NO
>> INSPECTION END

CHECK FUSE, FUSIBLE LINK AND CIRCUIT BREAKER
Check that the following fuse, fusible link and circuit breaker are not fusing.
Is the fuse fusing?
YES
>> Replace the blown fuse after repairing the affected circuit if a fuse is blown.
NO
>> GO TO 2.
2.
CHECK POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT
1.
Turn ignition switch OFF.
2.
Disconnect automatic back door control unit connector.
3.
Check voltage between automatic back door control unit harness connector and ground.
Is the measurement value normal?
YES
>> INSPECTION END
NO
>> Repair or replace harness.

position, operation direction, and operation speed according to the received pulse signals.

Check encoder (“ENCODER A”, “ENCODER B”) in Data Monitor mode.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
>> Check intermittent incident. Refer to
GI-39, "Intermittent Incident"

NO
>> GO TO 2.
2.
CHECK ENCODER POWER SUPPLY
1.
Turn ignition switch OFF.
2.
Disconnect automatic back door unit connector.
3.
Check voltage between automatic back door unit harness connector and ground.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
>> GO TO 4.
NO
>> GO TO 3.
