CHECK GROUND CIRCUIT

1. Turn ignition switch to “OFF” position.
2. Disconnect solenoid valve harness connector (terminal cord assembly) E25 in engine compartment.
3. Check resistance between solenoid valve harness connector (terminal cord assembly) E25 terminal No. 5 (BR/R) and

ground.

Yes

GO TO 2.

No

1. Remove oil pan. Refer to AT-205.
2. Check the following items:

Torque converter clutch solenoid valve
Refer to “Component Inspection”, AT-124.

Harness of terminal cord assembly for short or open

CHECK RESISTANCE

1. Turn ignition switch to “OFF” position.
2. Disconnect TCM harness connector.
3. Check resistance between solenoid valve harness connector E25 terminal No. 5 (BR/R) and TCM harness connector

M25 terminal No. 3 (BR/R).

If OK, check harness for short to ground and short to power.

Is resistance approx. 0
