NEW MODEL OUTLINE

Inside Rear View Mirror

Convenience has been improved with the inside rear view mirror, with its automatic glare-resis-
tant EC (electrochromic) mirror equipped with a built-in compass.

A compass function that indicates the vehicle’s travelling direction (8 directions: N, S, E,
W, NE, NW, SE, SW) in the upper right portion of the mirror has been incorporated.

Outside Rear View Mirror

The outside rear view mirror has been shaped to minimize wind noise and is equipped with
the following functions: electrical remote control type mirror with position memory function,
automatic glare-resistance EC (Electrochromic) mirror, rear window defogger-linked mirror
heater.

Rear Sunshade

A rear sunshade that reduces the amount of direct sunlight entering through the rear window
is available as an option, in order to improve comfort for rear passengers.

To ensure rear view visibility, the rear sunshade is normally retracted in the package tray
trim. It can be operated with switches. Furthermore, when the vehicle is reversing, the sun-
shade retractes automatically to ensure rear view visibility.

UV (Ultraviolet) Cut & Water Repellent Coating Glass

UV (Ultraviolet) cut glass containing properties which blocks the ultraviolet and infrared rays
in the sunlight has been adopted to prevent sunburn caused by ultraviolet rays and to
reduce the scorching hot sensation caused by infrared rays.

Vanity Mirror

A light has been positioned in the ceiling to illuminate the face of the person using the vanity
mirror, increasing usability.
The light is equipped with a function that causes it to go off automatically when the sun
visor is put away, in consideration of preventing problems caused by forgetting to turn it off.

Previous: The light was positioned next to the vanity mirror; it shone directly into the

user’s eyes.

New: As a result of being positioned in the ceiling, the light no longer shines into the

user’s eyes, reducing glare.

Sun Visor

A sun visor has been adopted that can, after
being swung to the side according to the
angle of the sun’s rays, be slid toward either
the front or the back of the vehicle.
Sun blocking effect have been improved.

Power Window System

All power windows are equipped with key-off operation function and one-touch auto up and
down with jam protection.

Moon Roof

A tilt-and-slide type moon roof with “one-touch sliding open-and-close”, “one-touch tilt up-and-
down” and “jam protection” functions is available as an option.

Theft Deterrent System

When any attempt is made to forcibly enter the vehicle, open the engine hood or luggage
door, or unlock any door without a key, or when the battery terminals are disconnected and
then reconnected, this system sounds the vehicle’s horn and security horn, lights the interior
light, and flashes hazard lights, taillights and headlights to deter illegal or mischievous activities.
In addition, the system locks all doors if any door is unlocked while the alarm is activated.

Engine Immobiliser System

The engine immobiliser system is a theft prevention device which does not allow the engine
to be started by any means other than with the ignition key with corresponding pre-registered
ID code.
The system is constructed so that the engine will only start when the ID code of the transponder
chip embedded in the key matches the code registered in the ECM.

Door Lock Control System

The following functions have been newly adopted as standard equipment.

One-motion open function: The function which enables the driver or front passenger to
unlock the driver’s or front passenger’s door by pulling the door’s inside knob.

Manual unlock prohibition function: Performing the door lock operation with a transmitter
or an ignition key will prohibit the unlock operation by the door lock control switch.

the shift lever is changed from the P position to any other position with the ignition switch
in the ON position.

matically when the driver’s door is closed, by turning the ignition switch from ON to
OFF position and opening the driver’s door within 10 seconds.

Collision door lock release function: If there is a collision, which would trigger deployment
of the airbags, the door locks on all doors are released to aid rescue of the occupants.
