meet the requirements of DaimlerChrysler Material Standard MS-10725. The
manufacturer recommends the use of a full synthetic engine oil, such as Mo-

EMISSIONS CONTROL SYSTEM MAINTENANCE
The Scheduled Maintenance services, listed in bold type
, must be done at the times or mileages specified to
ensure the continued proper functioning of the emission
control system. These, and all other maintenance services
included in this instruction, should be done to provide best
vehicle performance and reliability. More frequent main-
tenance may be needed for vehicles in severe operating
conditions, such as dusty areas and very short trip
driving.
Inspection and service should also be done any time a
malfunction is suspected.
NOTE:
Maintenance, replacement, or repair of the emis-
sion control devices and systems on your vehicle may be
performed by any automotive repair establishment or
individual using any automotive part that has been
certified pursuant to U.S. EPA or, in the State of Califor-
nia, California Air Resources Board regulations.
MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE
To help you have the best driving experience possible,
the manufacturer has identified the specific vehicle main-
tenance service intervals that are required to keep your
vehicle operating properly and safely.
Chrysler recommends that these maintenance intervals
be performed at your selling dealer. The technicians at
your dealership know your vehicle best, and have access
to factory-trained information, genuine Mopar
威 parts,
and specially designed electronic and mechanical tools
that can help prevent future costly repairs.
The maintenance intervals shown should be performed
as indicated in this section.
NOTE:
Under no circumstances should oil change in-
tervals exceed 6,000 mi (10,000 km) or six months,
whichever comes first.
