NOTE:
The front lower hole in the power steering pump is not used.

11. Position the power steering pump and install the bolts.
12. Install the drain plug.

13. Lower the vehicle.
14. Install the valve covers. For additional information, refer to VALVE COVER LH and
VALVE COVER RH .
15. Fill the engine with clean engine oil.
16. Install the coolant pump. For additional information, refer to ENGINE COOLING .
17. Install the radiator. For additional information, refer to ENGINE COOLING - F150
PICKUP .
18. Connect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to BATTERY,
MOUNTING AND CABLES - F150 PICKUP .

Removal
1. Remove the engine front cover. For additional information, refer to ENGINE FRONT
COVER .
2. Remove the crankshaft sensor ring from the crankshaft.
CAUTION: Since the engine is not free-wheeling, the timing procedures
must be followed exactly or piston and valve damage can
occur.
