Installation
All vehicles
1. Insert a new wheel stud in the hole in the axle flange or hub flange, making sure serrations are aligned
with those made by the original wheel bolt.
2. Seat new wheel stud in axle flange or hub flange. Place four flatwashers over the outside end of the wheel
stud. Thread a standard wheel nut with the flat side against the washers. Tighten the wheel nut until the
wheel stud head seats against the back side of the flange.
3. Remove the wheel nut and flatwashers.
CAUTION: Never use air tools to install wheel bolts. The serrations can be stripped
from the stud.

5 lug vehicles with disc brakes
Install the rear axle shaft. For additional information, refer to DIFFERENTIALS/DRIVE AXLES.
7 lug vehicles with disc brakes
Install the rear brake disc. For additional information, refer to DISC - BLACKWOOD, F150 HERITAGE
PICKUP & F150 .
Vehicles with drum brakes
Install the rear brake drum. For additional information, refer to DISC - BLACKWOOD, F150 HERITAGE
PICKUP & F150
All vehicles
1. Install the wheel and tire assembly.
2. Lower the vehicle.
BAR - STABILIZER, LIGHTNING VEHICLES
Removal and Installation
1. Remove the nut from each of the two link assemblies (5K484). Discard the nuts.

2. Remove four nuts, two clamps (5B491), and two U-bolts. Discard the nuts.

3. Remove the stabilizer bar assembly (5A772).
4. Remove the two insulators (4A037).
