System Description

POWER SUPPLY AND GROUND
NLEL0435S01
Power is supplied at all times:
I
through 15A fuse [No. 5, located in the fuse block (J/B)]
I
to smart entrance control unit terminal 56,
I
through 10A fuse [No. 13, located in the fuse block (J/B)]
I
to spot lamp terminal 1,
I
to interior room lamp terminal 1 (with sunroof),
I
to interior room lamp terminal 5 (without sunroof), or
I
to rear reading lamp terminal 5 (with rear reading lamp).
I
through 10A fuse [No. 12, located in the fuse block (J/B)]
I
to key switch terminal 1 (for RHD models).
When the key is removed from ignition key cylinder, power is interrupted:
I
through key switch terminal 2
I
to smart entrance control unit terminal 5.
With the ignition key switch in the ON or START position, power is supplied:
I
through 10A fuse [No. 10, located in the fuse block (J/B)]
I
to smart entrance control unit terminal 29.
Ground is supplied:
I
through body grounds terminals M28, M48 and M109 (QG engine models) or F51 (YD engine models).
I
to smart entrance control unit terminal 53
When the driver side door is opened, ground is supplied:
I
through body grounds B24 and B30 or D89 (for LHD models)
I
to door switch driver side terminal 3
I
from door switch driver side terminal 2
I
to smart entrance control unit terminal 43.
When any door is opened, ground is supplied:
I
through case ground of each door switch
I
to each door switch terminal 1
I
to smart entrance control unit terminal 44.
When the driver side door is unlocked by the door lock/unlock switch, the smart entrance control unit receives
a ground signal:
I
through body grounds B24 and B30, or D89 (for LHD models)
I
to power window main switch terminal 3
I
from power window main switch terminal 7
I
to smart entrance control unit terminal 14.
When the driver side door is locked by the door lock/unlock switch, the smart entrance control unit receives
a ground signal:
I
through body grounds B24 and B30, or D89 (for LHD models)
I
to power window main switch terminal 3
I
from power window main switch terminal 14
I
to smart entrance control unit terminal 13.
When a signal, or combination of signals is received by the smart entrance control unit, ground is supplied:
I
through smart entrance control unit terminal 28
I
to interior room lamp terminal 5.
With power and ground supplied, the interior room lamp illuminates when the lamp switch is in “DOOR” posi-
tion.
SWITCH OPERATION

When interior room lamp switch is in “ON” position, ground is supplied:

through body grounds M28, M48, M109 (QG engine) or F51 (YD engine)

to interior room lamp terminal 3.

When spot lamp (LH or RH) is ON, ground is supplied:
I
through body grounds M28, M48, M109 (QG engine models) or F51 (YD engine models)
I
to spot lamp terminal 2.
When rear reading lamp (LH or RH) is ON, ground is supplied:
I
through body grounds M28, M48, M109 (QG engine models) or F51 (YD engine models)
I
to rear reading lamp terminal 6.
With power and ground supplied, the interior room lamp, spot lamp or rear reading lamp illuminates.
INTERIOR ROOM LAMP TIMER OPERATION

When interior room lamp switch is in the “DOOR” position, the smart entrance control unit keeps the interior
room lamp illuminated for about 30 seconds when:
I
unlock signal is supplied from door lock/unlock switch while all doors are closed
I
unlock signal is supplied from remote controller or door key cylinder while all doors are closed
I
key is removed from ignition key cylinder while all doors are closed (with super lock system)
I
driver’s door is opened and then closed
The timer is canceled when:
I
driver’s door is locked,
I
driver’s door is opened, or
I
ignition switch is turned ON.
ON-OFF CONTROL

When the driver side door, front passenger door, rear LH or RH door is opened, the interior room lamp turns
on while the interior room lamp switch is in the “DOOR” position.
BATTERY SAVER
NLEL0435S11
The interior room lamp is turned OFF automatically with the lamp switch in the “DOOR” position after about
30 minutes, if the lamp remains lit by the door switch open signal.
