NOTE:
• Maintenance items with “
” should be performed more frequently according to “Maintenance Under Severe Driving Condi-
tions”.
• (1) Use only Genuine NISSAN CVT fluid. If towing a trailer, using a camper or a car-top carrier, or driving on rough or muddy
roads, inspect CVT fluid deterioration at NISSAN dealers every 100,000 km (60,000 miles), then change CVT fluid if neces-
sary. And if the inspection is not performed, change (not just inspect) CVT fluid every 100,000 km (60,000 miles). Using
transmission fluid other than Genuine NISSAN CVT Fluid will damage the CVT, which is not covered by the warranty. Refer to
owner's manual for more information regarding correct fluids.
MAINTENANCE UNDER SEVERE DRIVING CONDITIONS (FOR AUSTRALIA)
The maintenance intervals shown on the preceding pages are for normal operating conditions. If the vehicle is
mainly operated under severe driving conditions as shown below, more frequent maintenance must be per-
formed on the following items as shown in the table.
Severe driving conditions
A — Driving under dusty conditions
B — Repeatedly driving short distances
C — Towing a trailer or caravan
D — Extensive idling
E — Driving in extremely adverse weather conditions or in areas where ambient temperatures are either
extremely low or extremely high
F — Driving in high humidity or in mountainous areas
G — Driving in areas using salt or other corrosive materials
H — Driving on rough and/or muddy roads or in the desert
I — Driving with frequent use of braking or in mountainous areas
J — Frequent off road use or driving in water
K — Sustained high speed driving
L — Repeated short journeys, cold engine at low temperature
M — Low speed driving (Average speed <30 km/h)

• Maintenance items with “
” should be performed more frequently according to “Maintenance Under Severe Driving Condi-
tions”.
• (1) Intake and exhaust valve clearance is maintenance-free item.
• (2) Use Genuine NISSAN Engine Coolant (Blue) of equivalent in its quality, in order to avoid possible aluminum corrosion
within the engine cooling system caused by the use of non-genuine engine coolant. Check and correct the engine coolant
mixture ratio every 30,000 km (18,000 miles) or 24 months. First replacement interval is 150,000 km (90,000 miles) or 96
months. After first replacement, replace every 75,000 km (45,000 miles) or 48 months.
• (3) Fuel lines are maintenance-free.

PERIODIC MAINTENANCE
• Maintenance items with “
” should be performed more frequently according to “Maintenance Under Severe Driving Condi-
tions”.
• (1) Use only Genuine NISSAN CVT fluid. If towing a trailer, using a camper or a car-top carrier or driving on muddy roads,
inspect CVT fluid deterioration at NISSAN dealers every 90,000 km (54,000 miles), then change CVT fluid if necessary. And if
the inspection is not performed, change (not just inspect) CVT fluid every 90,000 km (54,000 miles). Using transmission fluid
other than Genuine NISSAN CVT fluid will damage the CVT, which is not covered by the warranty.
