NOTE:
• Maintenance items with “
” should be performed more frequently according to “Maintenance Under Severe Driving Condi-
tions”.
• (1) Periodic maintenance is not required. However, if valve noise increases, check valve clearance.
• (2) Replace the drive belts if found damaged or if the auto belt tensioner reading reaches the maximum limit.
• (3) Use Genuine NISSAN Engine Coolant (blue) or equivalent in its quality, in order to avoid possible aluminum corrosion
within the engine cooling system caused by the use of non-genuine engine coolant. Check and correct the engine coolant
mixture ratio every 40,000 km (24,000 miles) or 24 months.
First replacement interval is 160,000 km (96,000 miles) or 96 months. After first replacement, replace every 80,000 km (48,000
miles) or 48 months.
• (4) Fuel filter is maintenance-free.

PERIODIC MAINTENANCE
*: Models except for Australia
NOTE:
• Maintenance items with “
” should be performed more frequently according to “Maintenance Under Severe Driving Condi-
tions”.
• (1) Use only Genuine NISSAN CVT fluid. If towing a trailer, using a camper or a car-top carrier, or driving on rough or muddy
roads, inspect CVT fluid deterioration at NISSAN dealers every 100,000 km (60,000 miles), then change CVT fluid if neces-
sary.
And if the inspection is not performed, change (not just inspect) CVT fluid every 100,000 km (60,000 miles).
Using transmission fluid other than Genuine NISSAN CVT Fluid will damage the CVT, which is not covered by the warranty.
Refer to owner's manual for more information regarding correct fluids.
MAINTENANCE UNDER SEVERE DRIVING CONDITIONS (FOR AUSTRALIA, ASIA, LATIN AMER-
ICA AND AFRICA)
The maintenance intervals shown on the preceding pages are for normal operating conditions. If the vehicle is
mainly operated under severe driving conditions as shown below, more frequent maintenance must be per-
formed on the following items as shown in the table.
Severe driving conditions
A — Driving under dusty conditions
B — Driving repeatedly short distances
C — Towing a trailer or caravan
D — Extensive idling
E — Driving in extremely adverse weather conditions or in areas where ambient temperatures are either
extremely low or extremely high
F — Driving in high humidity or in mountainous areas
G — Driving in areas using salt or other corrosive materials
H — Driving on rough and/or muddy roads or in the desert
I — Driving with frequent use of braking or in mountainous areas
J — Frequent off road use or driving in water

The following tables show the normal maintenance schedule. Depending upon weather and atmospheric con-
ditions, varying road surfaces, individual driving habits and vehicle usage, additional or more frequent mainte-
nance may be required.
Periodic maintenance beyond the last period shown on the tables requires similar maintenance.

NOTE:
• Maintenance items with “
” should be performed more frequently according to “Maintenance Under Severe Driving Condi-
tions”.
• (1) If the oil replacement is displayed, change the engine oil as soon as possible. After replacing the engine oil, reset the dis-
play.
• (2) The replacement interval for the timing belt is the maximum lifespan which should not be exceeded. Replace the timing
belt if it comes into contact with fuel. The frequency of replacement should be adapted depending on vehicle usage. See
“Maintenance Under Severe Driving Conditions”.
• (3) Replace drive belt if it comes into contact with fuel or damage is found during inspection.
• (4) First replace at 90,000 km (56,000 miles)/60 months, then every 60,000 km (37,500 miles)/48 months. After first replace-
ment, perform "I" (checking the mixture ratio and correcting the mixture ratio if necessary) at the middle of replacement
interval (every 30,000 km (18,500 miles)/24 months).
• (5) If valve noise increases, check valve clearance.
• (6) Drain water also when water level sensor lamp turns on in combination meter.
• (7) Perform diagnosis for all systems with CONSULT and check for DTC.
