INTELLIGENT KEY WARNING BUZZER

YES

>> Replace BCM. Refer to

BCS-80, "Removal and Installation"

NO

>> Replace Intelligent Key warning buzzer. Refer to

DLK-317, "Removal and Installation"

CHECK INTELLIGENT KEY WARNING BUZZER

1. Turn ignition switch OFF.

2. Disconnect Intelligent Key warning buzzer connector.

3. Connect battery power supply directly to Intelligent Key warning buzzer terminals and check the opera-

tion.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

>> Inspection End.

NO

>> Replace Intelligent Key warning buzzer. Refer to

DLK-317, "Removal and Installation"

User Guide for additional information.

• Check Intelligent Key relative signal strength.

• Confirm vehicle Intelligent Key antenna signal strength.

CHECK FUNCTION

1. Select “INTELLIGENT KEY” of “BCM” using CONSULT.

2. Select “RKE OPE COUN1” in “DATA MONITOR” mode.

3. Check that the function operates normally according to the following conditions.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

>> Intelligent Key is OK.

NO

>> Refer to

DLK-203, "Diagnosis Procedure"

The Signal Tech II Tool (J-50190) can be used to perform the following functions. Refer to the Signal Tech II

User Guide for additional information.

• Check Intelligent Key relative signal strength.

• Confirm vehicle Intelligent Key antenna signal strength.

CHECK INTELLIGENT KEY BATTERY

Check by connecting a resistance (approximately 300

Ω) so that the

current value becomes about 10 mA. Refer to

DLK-320, "Removal

and Installation"

.

Is the measurement value within the specification?

YES

>> Replace Intelligent Key.

NO

>> Replace Intelligent Key battery.

Check that the numerical value is changing while operating on the Intelligent Key.

Description

• The buzzer for the warning chime system is installed in the combination meter.

• The combination meter sounds the buzzer based on the signals transmitted from various units.

CHECK OPERATION OF METER BUZZER

1. Select BUZZER of BCM on CONSULT.

2. Perform LIGHT WARN ALM or SEAT BELT WARN TEST of ACTIVE TEST.
Does meter buzzer activate?

YES

>> Inspection End.

NO

>> Refer to

CHECK COMBINATION METER INPUT SIGNAL

Select the Data Monitor for the “METER/M&A and check the BUZZER monitor value.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

>> Replace combination meter. Refer to

MWI-82, "Removal and Installation"

NO

>> Replace BCM. Refer to

BCS-80, "Removal and Installation"

1. Select “INTELLIGENT KEY” of “BCM” using CONSULT.

2. Select “INDICATOR” in “ACTIVE TEST” mode.

3. Touch “KEY IND” or “KEY ON” to check that it works normally.

YES

>> Key warning lamp is OK.

NO
