NO
>> GO TO 4.

CHECK SWITCH INPUT SIGNAL
1.
Turn ignition switch OFF.
2.
Disconnect back door lock assembly connector.
3.
Check voltage between back door lock assembly harness connector and ground.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
>> GO TO 6.
NO
>> GO TO 5.
5.
CHECK SWITCH CIRCUIT
1.
Disconnect automatic back door control unit connector.
2.
Check continuity between automatic back door control unit harness connector and back door lock assem-
bly harness connector.
3.
Check continuity between automatic back door control unit harness connector and ground.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
>> Replace automatic back door control unit. Refer to
DLK-633, "Removal and Installation"
.
NO
>> Repair or replace harness.
6.
CHECK SWITCH GROUND CIRCUIT
Check continuity between back door lock assembly harness connector and ground.

REPLACE BACK DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY
1.
Replace back door lock assembly.
2.
Erase DTC.
3.
Perform DTC confirmation procedure for DTC 242A. Refer to

>> INSPECTION END.
NO
>> Replace automatic back door control unit. Refer to
DLK-633, "Removal and Installation"

YES

>> To check malfunction symptom before repair: Refer to

1.
Turn ignition switch OFF.
2.
Disconnect automatic back door control unit connector and hands free sensor connector.
3.
Check continuity between automatic back door control unit harness connector and hands free sensor har-
ness connector.
4.
Check continuity between automatic back door control unit harness connector and ground.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
>> Replace hands free sensor.
NO
>> Repair or replace harness.

PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE
1.
Select “INTELLIGENT KEY” of “BCM” using CONSULT.
2.
Select “INSIDE ANT DIAGNOSIS” in “WORK SUPPORT” mode.
3.
Perform inside key antenna (“INSIDE ANT DIAGNOSIS”) on “WORK SUPPORT” of “INTELLIGENT
KEY”.
4.
Check BCM for DTC.
Is inside key antenna DTC detected?
YES
>> Refer to
