CAUTION:

Never apply excessive force when removing center pillar upper garnish. Otherwise, pawl may be
damaged and fragments may drop in panel holes on the body panel.

INSTALLATION

Note the following items, and then install in the reverse order of removal.

CAUTION:

• Replace center pillar upper garnish with a new part after removal. Never reuse center pillar upper

garnish.

• Check in advance that pawls are accurately aligned with the portions on the body panel, and then

install by pressing in.

• Tighten seat belt shoulder anchor mounting anchor bolt to the specified torque. Refer to

SB-9,

"Exploded View"

CAUTION:

• When removing, always use a remover tool that is made of plastic to prevent damage to the parts.
• Never damage the body panel.

REMOVAL

1.

Remove front seat assembly (LH and RH). Refer to

SE-41, "Removal and Installation"

.

2.

Remove second seat cushion. Refer to

SE-54, "Removal and Installation"

.

Rear floor carpet

Front floor carpet

Carpet hook

Harness clip

Rear floor spacer RH

Front floor spacer RH

Front floor spacer LH

Rear floor spacer LH

Steering column hole cover

: Clip

: Always replace after every disassembly.

Remove dash side finisher (LH and RH). Refer to

INT-26, "DASH SIDE FINISHER : Removal and Installa-

tion"

.

4.

Remove center pillar lower garnish (LH and RH). Refer to

INT-27, "CENTER PILLAR LOWER GARNISH :

Removal and Installation"

.

5.

Remove center console assembly. Refer to the following.
• LHD models: Refer to

IP-25, "Removal and Installation"

.

• RHD models: Refer to

IP-52, "Removal and Installation"

.

6.

Remove shift selector assembly. Refer to the following.
• 6MT models (RS6F94R): Refer to

TM-28, "Removal and Installation"

.

• 6MT models (RS6F52A): Refer to

TM-106, "Removal and Installation"

.

• CVT models (RE0F10D): Refer to

TM-403, "Removal and Installation"

.

• CVT models (RE0F10G): Refer to

TM-667, "Removal and Installation"

.

7.

Remove diagnosis sensor unit. Refer to

SR-38, "Removal and Installation"

.

8.

Disengage parking brake harness connector

.

9.

Disengage harness clips.

10. Remove rear floor duct 1. Refer to

VTL-13, "REAR FLOOR DUCT 1 : Removal and Installation"

.

11. Remove drain hose from A/C unit assembly.

12. Remove instrument stay mounting nuts

, and then remove instrument stay LH

and instrument stay

RH .

13. Remove steering column hole cover fixing clips

, and then

remove steering column hole cover.

14. Disengage carpet hook fixing clip using a remover tool (A)

according to numerical order 1

2 indicated by the arrows as

shown in the figure.

15. Peel off magic fasteners

of front floor carpet front end.

16. Peel off magic fasteners

of front floor carpet rear end.

17. Remove floor carpet

from harness clips

.
