Check voltage between BCM connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

>> GO TO 5.

NO

>> GO TO 6.

CHECK BACK DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY (DOOR SWITCH)

Check back door lock assembly (door switch).
Refer to

DLK-654, "BACK DOOR : Component Inspection"

.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

>> GO TO 6.

NO

>> Replace back door lock assembly (door switch). Refer to

XX-XX, "*****"

and

XX-XX, "*****"

.

CHECK INTERMITTENT INCIDENT

CHECK KEY SWITCH INPUT SIGNAL

Check key switch (“KEY SW”) in “Data Monitor” mode with CONSULT-III. Refer to

DLK-50, "DOOR LOCK :

CONSULT-III Function (BCM - DOOR LOCK)"

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

>> Key switch is OK.

NO

>> Refer to

DLK-656, "Diagnosis Procedure"

Diagnosis Procedure

CHECK KEY SWITCH INPUT SIGNAL

1.

Turn ignition switch OFF.

2.

Disconnect BCM connector.

3.

Check voltage between BCM harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

>> GO TO 5.

NO

>> GO TO 2.

2.

CHECK KEY SWITCH POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT

1.

Remove mechanical key from key cylinder.

2.

Disconnect key switch connector.

Check voltage between key switch connector M27 terminal 2
and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

>> GO TO 3.

NO

>> Repair or replace harness.

CHECK KEY SWITCH SIGNAL CIRCUIT

1.

Check continuity BCM harness connector (A) M18 terminal 3
and key switch connector (B) M27 terminal 1.

2.

Check continuity between BCM connector (A) M18 terminal 3 and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

>> GO TO 4.

NO

>> Repair or replace harness.

4.

CHECK KEY SWITCH

Check key switch function.
Refer to

DLK-658, "Component Inspection"

.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

>> GO TO 5.

NO

>> Replace key switch.

5.
