3. Connect the CKP sensor electrical connector.

4. Install the starter. Refer to Starter Motor Replacement in Engine Electrical.
5. Lower the vehicle.
6. Connect the negative battery cable.
7. Perform the CKP system variation learn procedure. Refer to CKP System Variation Learn Procedure .

CAMSHAFT POSITION (CMP) SENSOR REPLACEMENT
Removal Procedure

1. Remove the engine sight shield. Refer to Engine Sight Shield Replacement (6.0L (LQ4)) in Engine
Mechanical 6.0L.
2. Disconnect the CMP sensor electrical connector.
IMPORTANT: Clean the area around the camshaft position (CMP) sensor before removal in
order to prevent debris from entering the engine.

3. Remove the CMP sensor bolt.
4. Remove the CMP sensor.
Installation Procedure

1. Install the CMP sensor.
2. Install the CMP sensor bolt.
