a. Temporarily install the speaker by attaching the claws of the speaker to the door panel.

b. Install the speaker with the 3 screws.

HINT:

Install the screws in the order shown in the illustration.

c. Connect the connector.

2. INSTALL REAR DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (See REASSEMBLY )

3. INSTALL COURTESY LIGHT ASSEMBLY (See REASSEMBLY )

4. INSTALL REAR DOOR ARMREST COVER LH

5. INSTALL REAR UPPER DOOR ARMREST BASE PANEL LH (See REASSEMBLY )

6. INSTALL REAR DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL PLUG LH (See REASSEMBLY )

7. INSTALL REAR DOOR FRAME GARNISH LH (See REASSEMBLY )

8. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

REAR DOOR SPEAKER (FOR CREWMAX)

COMPONENTS

NOTE:

Do not touch the cone part of the speaker.

NOTE:

Some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (see
INITIALIZATION ).

REMOVAL

HINT:

Use the same procedures for the LH side and RH side.

The procedures listed below are for the LH side.

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

2. REMOVE REAR DOOR FRAME GARNISH LH (See DISASSEMBLY )

3. REMOVE REAR DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL PLUG LH (See DISASSEMBLY )

4. REMOVE REAR UPPER DOOR ARMREST BASE PANEL LH (See DISASSEMBLY )

5. REMOVE COURTESY LIGHT ASSEMBLY (See DISASSEMBLY )

6. REMOVE REAR DOOR ARMREST COVER LH

7. REMOVE REAR DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (See DISASSEMBLY )

8. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY

a. Disconnect the speaker connector.

b. Remove the 3 screws and speaker.

9. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY (for 12 Speakers)

a. Detach the 3 claws and remove the speaker.

NOTE:

Some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected
(see INITIALIZATION ).

After the ignition switch is turned OFF, the navigation system
requires approximately 90 seconds to record various types of
memory and settings. As a result, after turning the ignition switch
OFF, wait 90 seconds or more before disconnecting the cable from
the negative (-) battery terminal.

NOTE:

Do not touch the cone part of the speaker.

INSPECTION

1. INSPECT REAR NO. 1 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY (for Standard)

a. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance

TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION

If the result is not as specified, replace the speaker assembly.

2. INSPECT REAR NO. 1 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY (for 12 Speakers)

a. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
