b. Apply a light coat of gasoline to a new O-ring. Then install the O-ring and spacer to the fuel pump.

c. Attach the 5 claws to the claw holes and install the fuel pump and suction plate with filter.

2. INSTALL SUB TANK SUB-ASSEMBLY

a. Attach the 2 claws to the claw holes and install the fuel sub tank.

b. Attach the 3 claws to the claw holes.

c. Connect the fuel tube.

d. Install the tube part to the sub tank.

1. Attach the claw on the end of the tube to the claw hole. Install the tube to the 2 clamps on the

fuel sub tank.

e. Connect the fuel pump connector.

3. INSTALL FUEL SENDER GAUGE

a. Set the sender gauge to the sub tank. Then slide the sender gauge downward to install it.

b. Connect the fuel sender gauge connector.

1. INSTALL FUEL SUCTION WITH PUMP AND GAUGE TUBE ASSEMBLY (see

INSTALLATION )

2. INSTALL FUEL TANK PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY (see INSTALLATION )

3. INSTALL FUEL TANK ASSEMBLY (see INSTALLATION )

4. CONNECT OUTLET NO. 1 CANISTER HOSE (see INSTALLATION )

5. CONNECT FUEL TANK TO FILLER PIPE HOSE (see INSTALLATION )

6. CONNECT WIRE HARNESS (see INSTALLATION )

7. CONNECT VENT LINE HOSE (see INSTALLATION )

8. CONNECT FUEL TANK RETURN TUBE (see INSTALLATION )

9. CONNECT FUEL TANK MAIN TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY (see INSTALLATION )

10. INSTALL NO. 1 FUEL TANK PROTECTOR SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Rough Road Area

Specification Vehicles) (see INSTALLATION )

11. INSTALL FUEL TANK CAP ASSEMBLY

12. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

13. CHECK FOR FUEL LEAK (see INSTALLATION )
