DISCHARGE FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE (See REMOVAL )

DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER (See REPLACEMENT )

DRAIN ENGINE OIL (See REPLACEMENT )
5
DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT (See COOLANT )

REMOVE HOOD SUB-ASSEMBLY

Using a screwdriver, release the 2 clips and remove the hood support assembly
HINT:
Tape the screwdriver tip before use

Remove the 4 bolts and hood

REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR ASSEMBLY

Remove the windshield wiper motor (See REMOVAL )

REMOVE COWL TOP OUTER PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )

REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
a
Raise the front of the V-bank cover to detach the 2 pins Then remove the 2 V-bank cover hooks
NOTE:
After the ignition switch is turned off, the navigation system requires
approximately 90 seconds to record various types of memory and
setting. As a result, after turning the ignition switch off, wait 90
seconds or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-)
battery terminal.
When disconnecting the cable some systems need to be initialized
after the cable is reconnected (See INITIALIZATION ).
CAUTION: Remove the hood support assembly while supporting the hood
by hand.
