DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER (See REMOVAL )

DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT (See REPLACEMENT )

REMOVE FRONT WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )

5

REMOVE FRONT COWL TOP OUTER PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )

6

REMOVE V-BANK COVER (See REMOVAL )

7

REMOVE NO. 2 AIR CLEANER HOSE (See REMOVAL )

8

REMOVE AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY WITH ELEMENT (See REMOVAL )

9

REMOVE INTAKE AIR SURGE TANK (See REMOVAL )

DISCONNECT NO. 3 AIR INJECTION SYSTEM HOSE

Disconnect the air injection system hose from the air tube

DISCONNECT NO. 2 AIR INJECTION SYSTEM HOSE

Disconnect the air injection system hose from the air tube

REMOVE NO. 5 AIR INJECTION SYSTEM HOSE

Disconnect the 2 air pump connectors

Detach the wire harness clamp and remove the bolt, then disconnect the wire harness bracket

NOTE:

Some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected
(see INITIALIZATION ).

After the ignition switch is turned OFF, the navigation system
requires approximately 90 seconds to record various types of
memory and settings. As a result, after turning the ignition switch
OFF, wait 90 seconds or more before disconnecting the cable from
the negative (-) battery terminal.

Remove the air injection system hose

REMOVE AIR TUBE

a

Remove the bolt and air tube

REMOVE NO. 1 AIR TUBE

a

Remove the 2 bolts, 2 nuts, No 1 air tube and 2 gaskets

NOTE:

Be careful not to damage the installation surface of the gaskets.

DISCONNECT NO. 2 AIR TUBE

Disconnect the wire harness clamp

Remove the bolts and 4 nuts, then disconnect the No 2 air tube

Remove the 2 gaskets

REMOVE AIR SWITCHING VALVE ASSEMBLY

Remove the 2 nuts, bolt and air switching valve
