INSPECTION PROCEDURE
1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM
C0273/13
1. Pump motor voltage is 2.0 V
or more for 1 sec. or more at
motor relay OFF.
2. Pump motor voltage is (IG -
4.0 V) or less for 0.1 sec. or
more at motor relay ON.
3. After the end of the actuation
of the motor relay, slow
down condition of motor
does not meet the
specification.
ABS1 H-fuse
Harness or connector (+BM
circuit)
Skid Control ECU
NOTE:
When replacing the VSC actuator assembly, perform zero point calibration (See
CALIBRATION ).

a. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
b. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
c. Turn the Techstream on.
d. Clear the DTC (See DTC CHECK/CLEAR ).
e. Select the Active Test mode on the Techstream.
ABS/VSC/TRAC
DIAGNOSTIC NOTE TABLE
f. Check the operation sound of the ABS motor when operating it with the Techstream.
OK: The operation sound of the ABS motor can be heard.
NG: Go to step 3
OK: Go To Next Step
2. RECONFIRM DTC
a. Clear the DTC (See DTC CHECK/CLEAR ).
b. Start the engine.
c. Check if the same DTC is output (See DTC CHECK/CLEAR ).

A: REPLACE VSC ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
3. INSPECT FUSE (ABS1)
a. Remove the ABS1 H-fuse from the engine room relay block.
b. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

NG: CHECK FOR SHORTS IN ALL HARNESSES AND CONNECTORS CONNECTED TO
FUSE AND REPLACE FUSE
OK: Go To Next Step
4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SKID CONTROL ECU - BATTERY AND BODY
GROUND)
a. Disconnect the A17 ECU connector.
b. Measure the voltage according to the value (s) in the table below.

DTC C1267/28: BRAKE PEDAL LOAD SENSING SWITCH
DESCRIPTION
The skid control ECU detects if the brake pedal is depressed.
