6. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER COVER
a. for Steel Type Bumper:
Install the front bumper cover (see REASSEMBLY ).
b. for Resin Type Bumper:
Install the front bumper cover (see INSTALLATION ).
7. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
8. CHARGE REFRIGERANT (See REPLACEMENT )
9. WARM UP ENGINE (See REPLACEMENT )
10. CHECK FOR REFRIGERANT GAS LEAK (See REPLACEMENT )
11. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT
a. Check the SRS warning light (see CHECK MODE PROCEDURE ).

Some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (see

REMOVAL
1. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH
a. for Regular Cab:
Remove the front door scuff plate (see REMOVAL ).
b. for Double Cab:
Remove the front door scuff plate (see REMOVAL ).
c. for CrewMax:
Remove the front door scuff plate (see REMOVAL ).
2. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD LH
a. for Regular Cab:
Remove the cowl side trim board (see REMOVAL ).

b. for Double Cab:
Remove the cowl side trim board (see REMOVAL ).
c. for CrewMax:
Remove the cowl side trim board (see REMOVAL ).
3. REMOVE INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL LH
a. for Column Shift Type:
Remove the instrument side panel (see REMOVAL ).
b. for Floor Shift Type:
Remove the instrument side panel (see REMOVAL ).
4. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
a. for Column Shift Type:
Remove the instrument panel finish panel (see REMOVAL ).
b. for Floor Shift Type:
Remove the instrument panel finish panel (see REMOVAL ).
5. REMOVE ROOM TEMPERATURE SENSOR
a. Detach the 2 claws and remove the sensor.

INSPECTION
1. INSPECT ROOM TEMPERATURE SENSOR
a. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
