Starter armature assembly

Commutator: Below 1 ohms
Commutator - Armature core: 10 kohms or higher
Standard diameter: 35.0 mm (1.38 in.)
Minimum diameter: 34.0 mm (1.34 in.)
Standard undercut depth: 0.7 mm (0.0276 in.)
Minimum undercut depth: 0.2 mm (0.00787 in.)
Maximum circle runout: 0.05 mm (0.00197 in.)

Brush length

Standard brush length: 15.0 mm (0.591 in.)
Minimum brush length: 10.0 mm (0.394 in.)

Starter brush holder
assembly

Standard resistance:
Positive (+) brush holder - Negative (-) brush holder: 10 kohms or higher
Standard spring installed load: 22 to 28 N (2 to 3 kgf, 4.8 to 6.2 lbf)
Minimum spring installed load: 13 N (1 kgf, 2.9 lbf)

Starter yoke assembly

Standard resistance:
Terminal C - Brushes: Below 1 ohms
Standard resistance:
Brushes - Starter yoke body: 10 kohms or higher

Magnet starter switch
