CONNECT NO. 2 WATER BY-PASS PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Oil Cooler)

Connect the 2 water by-pass hoses to the oil cooler

Install the 3 by-pass pipe bolts

Torque: 10 N*m (102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf)

INSTALL OIL FILTER BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ o Oil Cooler) (See INSTALLATION )

INSTALL OIL PRESSURE SENDER GAUGE ASSEMBLY (See INSTALLATION )

CONNECT FRONT STABILIZER BAR

a

Connect the stabilizer bar and install the 2 stabilizer bushes and 2 stabilizer brackets with the 4
bolts

Torque: 69 N*m (704 kgf*cm, 51 ft.*lbf)

REMOVAL

DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTE:

After the ignition switch is turned OFF, the navigation system
requires approximately 90 seconds to record various types of
memory and setting. As a result, after turning the ignition switch
OFF, wait 90 seconds or more before disconnecting the cable from
the negative (-) battery terminal.

REMOVE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION ASSEMBLY

REMOVE DRIVE PLATE AND RING GEAR SUB-ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )

REMOVE REAR CRANKSHAFT OIL SEAL

a

Using a knife, cut off the lip of the oil seal

Using a screwdriver, pry out the oil seal

HINT:

Tape the screwdriver tip before use

INSTALLATION

INSTALL REAR CRANKSHAFT OIL SEAL

a

Apply MP grease to the lip of a new oil seal

b

Using SST and a hammer, tap in the oil seal until its surface is flush with the rear oil seal retainer
edge

Some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected
(see INITIALIZATION ).

NOTE:

Do not damage the surface of the oil seal press fit hole and
crankshaft.
