(a) Disconnect the D9 throttle body connector.

(b) Disconnect the A14 accelerator pedal position sensor connector.

(c) Disconnect the R12 canister pump module connector.

(d) Disconnect the D58 air switching valve assembly (for Bank 1) connector.

(e) Disconnect the D59 air switching valve assembly (for Bank 2) connector.

(f) Disconnect the D46 power steering oil pressure sensor connector.

(g) Disconnect the D6 camshaft position sensor connector.

(h) Disconnect the D3 crankshaft position sensor connector.

(m) Disconnect the A24 and D74 ECM connectors.

(n) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance:

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

This troubleshooting procedure is based on the premise that the engine is started. If the engine is not started,

proceed to the problem symptoms table

.

PROCEDURE

1.

PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (FUEL PUMP)

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the ignition switch to ON and turn the Techstream ON.

(c) Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Active Test / Control the Fuel Pump

/ Speed.

(d) Check whether operating sounds can be heard while operating the relay using the Techstream.

OK:

Operating sounds can be heard from relay.

NG

GO TO STEP 7

2.

INSPECT FUEL PUMP

(a) Inspect the fuel pump

.

REPLACE FUEL PUMP

3.

CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FUEL PUMP - FUEL PUMP ECU)

(a) Disconnect the R6 fuel pump connector.

(b) Disconnect the R8 fuel pump ECU connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance:
