CHECK MIL (MANIFOLD ABSOLUTE PRESSURE SENSOR)
(a) Disconnect the manifold absolute pressure sensor connector.
(b) Turn the ignition switch to ON.
(c) Check the MIL.

CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
(a) Disconnect the throttle with motor body assembly connector.
(b) Disconnect the accelerator pedal sensor assembly connector.
(c) Disconnect the canister pump module connector.
(d) Disconnect the air switching valve assembly (for Bank 1) connector.
(e) Disconnect the air switching valve assembly (for Bank 2) connector.
(f) Disconnect the power steering oil pressure sensor connector.
(g) Disconnect the camshaft position sensor connector.
(h) Disconnect the crankshaft position sensor connector.

(m) Disconnect the manifold absolute pressure sensor connector.
(n) Disconnect the ECM connectors.
(o) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
NOTICE:
Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.
PROCEDURE
1.
PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (CONTROL THE FUEL PUMP/SPEED)
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the ignition switch to ON.
(c) Turn the Techstream on.
(d) Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Active Test / Control the Fuel
Pump/Speed.
(e) Check whether operating sounds can be heard while operating the fuel pump using the Techstream.
OK:
Operating sounds can be heard from fuel pump.

INSPECT FUEL PUMP ECU (POWER SOURCE VOLTAGE)
(a) Disconnect the fuel pump ECU connector.
(b) Turn the ignition switch to ON.
