cornering: RENEW the adaptive front lighting
module. CHECK system operates correctly If the
concern persists:

H2: CHECK FUSE F43 (5 A) (EJB)

Ignition switch in position 0.

1

Disconnect fuse F43 (5 A) (EJB).

2

CHECK fuse F43 (5 A) (EJB).

3

Is the fuse OK.?
Yes

GO to H3

.

No

RENEW fuse F43 (5 A) (EJB). CHECK system
operates correctly If the fuse blows again, LOCATE
and RECTIFY the short to ground using the Wiring
Diagrams. CHECK system operates correctly

H3: CHECK THE VOLTAGE SUPPLY TO FUSE F43 (5 A) (EJB) FOR OPEN CIRCUIT

Connect fuse F43 (5 A) (EJB).

Ignition switch in position II.

Measure the voltage between fuse F43 (5 A) (EJB)
and ground.

3

Does the meter display battery voltage?
Yes

GO to H4

.

No

LOCATE AND RECTIFY the break in the voltage
supply of fuse F43 (5 A) (EJB) using the Wiring
Diagrams. CHECK system operates correctly

H4: CHECK FUSE F39 (15 A) (EJB)

Ignition switch in position 0.

1

Disconnect fuse F39 (15 A) (EJB).

2

CHECK fuse F39 (15 A) (EJB).

3

Is the fuse OK.?
Yes

GO to H5

.

No

RENEW fuse F39 (15 A) (EJB). CHECK system
operates correctly If the fuse blows again, LOCATE
and RECTIFY the short to ground using the Wiring
Diagrams. CHECK system operates correctly

H5: CHECK THE VOLTAGE SUPPLY TO FUSE F39 (15 A) (EJB) FOR OPEN CIRCUIT

Connect fuse F39 (15 A) (EJB).

Ignition switch in position II.

Measure the voltage between fuse F39 (15 A)
(EJB) and ground.

3

Does the meter display battery voltage?
Yes

GO to H6

.

No

LOCATE AND RECTIFY the break in the voltage
supply of fuse F39 (15 A) (EJB) using the Wiring
Diagrams. CHECK system operates correctly

H6: CHECK VOLTAGE SUPPLY TO THE ADAPTIVE FRONT LIGHTING MODULE FOR
OPEN CIRCUIT

Ignition switch in position 0.

Disconnect Adaptive front lighting module from
connector C2LF23A.

2

Ignition switch in position II.

3

Measure the voltage between the adaptive front
lighting module, connector C2LF23A, pin 10, circuit

CBB43C (GY), wiring harness side and ground.

4

Does the meter display battery voltage?
Yes

GO to H7

.

No

LOCATE and RECTIFY the break in the circuit(s)
between soldered connection SP171 and the
adaptive front lighting module with the aid of the
Wiring Diagrams. CHECK system operates correctly

H7: CHECK VOLTAGE SUPPLY TO THE ADAPTIVE FRONT LIGHTING MODULE FOR
OPEN CIRCUIT

Ignition switch in position 0.

Disconnect Adaptive front lighting module from
connector C2LF23B.

Ignition switch in position II.

3

Measure the voltage between the adaptive front
lighting module, connector C2LF23B, pin 1, circuit

CBB39D (VT/WH), wiring harness side and ground.

4

Measure the voltage between the adaptive front
lighting module, connector C2LF23B, pin 2, circuit

CBB39G (VT/WH), wiring harness side and ground.

5

Is battery voltage measured in both cases?
Yes

GO to H8

.

No

- If battery voltage is not measured during one of
the measurements: LOCATE and RECTIFY the break
in the relevant circuit(s) between soldered
connection SP174 and the adaptive front lighting
module with the aid of the Wiring Diagrams. CHECK
system operates correctly
- If battery voltage is not measured during both of
the measurements: LOCATE and RECTIFY the break
in the circuit(s) between fuse F39 (15 A) (EJB) and
soldered connection SP174 with the aid of the
Wiring Diagrams. CHECK system operates correctly

H8: CHECK THE GROUND CONNECTION OF THE ADAPTIVE FRONT LIGHTING MODULE
FOR OPEN CIRCUIT

Ignition switch in position 0.

1

Measure the resistance between the adaptive front
lighting module, connector C2LF23A, pin 1, circuit

GD138BU (BK/WH), wiring harness side and
ground.

2

Is a resistance of less than 2 Ohms registered?
Yes

RENEW the adaptive front lighting module. CHECK
system operates correctly If the concern persists:
REFER to:

Communications Network

No

LOCATE and RECTIFY the break in the circuit(s)
between the adaptive front lighting module and
soldered connection SP518 with the aid of the
wiring diagrams. CHECK system operates correctly

H9: CHECK THE VOLTAGE SUPPLY TO THE CORNERING LIGHT, LEFT-HAND
HEADLAMP, FOR OPEN CIRCUIT

NOTE: There is a delay before full battery voltage is applied to the cornering light on the
inside of the bend.

Ignition switch in position 0.

Disconnect Left-hand headlamp from connector
C1LF08.

2

Ignition switch in position II.

3

SWITCH ON the dipped beam.

4

Turn the steering approximately 30° to the left.

5

Measure the voltage between left-hand headlamp,
connector C1LF08, pin 6, circuit CLF06B (BN/GN),

wiring harness side and ground.

6

Does the meter display battery voltage?
Yes

GO to H11

No

GO to H10

H10: CHECK THE VOLTAGE SUPPLY TO THE CORNERING LIGHT, LEFT-HAND
HEADLAMP

Ignition switch in position 0.

1

Disconnect Adaptive front lighting module from
connector C2LF23A.

2

Measure the resistance between the left-hand
headlamp, connector C1LF08, pin 6, circuit CLF06B

(BN/GN), wiring harness side and the adaptive
lighting module, connector C2LF23B, pin 6, circuit
CLF06A (BN/GN), wiring harness side.

3

Is a resistance of less than 2 Ohms registered?
Yes

RENEW the adaptive front lighting module. CHECK
system operates correctly If the concern persists:
REFER to:

No

LOCATE and RECTIFY break in the circuit(s)
between the adaptive front lighting module and the
headlamp with the aid of the Wiring Diagrams.
CHECK system operates correctly

H11: CHECK THE GROUND CONNECTION OF THE CORNERING LIGHT, LEFT-HAND
HEADLAMP, FOR OPEN CIRCUIT

Ignition switch in position 0.

1

Measure the resistance between the left-hand
headlamp, connector C1LF08, pin 9, circuit

GD130AS (BK/YE), wiring harness side and ground.

2

Is a resistance of less than 2 Ohms registered?
Yes

RENEW headlamp. CHECK system operates
correctly

No

-LOCATE and RECTIFY the break in circuit GD130AS
(BK/YE) between the headlamp and soldered
connection SP371 using the Wiring Diagrams.
CHECK system operates correctly

H12: CHECK THE VOLTAGE SUPPLY TO THE CORNERING LIGHT, RIGHT-HAND
HEADLAMP, FOR OPEN CIRCUIT

NOTE: There is a delay before full battery voltage is applied to the cornering light on the
inside of the bend.

Ignition switch in position 0.

Disconnect Right-hand headlamp from connector
C1LF09.

2

Ignition switch in position II.

3

SWITCH ON the dipped beam.

4

Turn the steering approximately 30° to the right.

5

Measure the voltage between the right-hand
headlamp, connector C1LF09 , pin 6, circuit

CLF07B (GY/OG), wiring harness side and ground.

6

Does the meter display battery voltage?
Yes

GO to H14

No

H13: CHECK THE VOLTAGE SUPPLY TO THE CORNERING LIGHT, RIGHT-HAND
HEADLAMP, FOR OPEN CIRCUIT

Ignition switch in position 0.

1

Disconnect Adaptive front lighting module from
connector C2LF23B.

2

Measure the resistance between the right-hand
headlamp, connector C1LF09, pin 6, circuit CLF07B

(GY/OG), wiring harness side and the adaptive
lighting module, connector C2LF23B, pin 5, circuit
CLF07A (GY/OG), wiring harness side.

3

Is a resistance of less than 2 Ohms registered?
Yes

RENEW the adaptive front lighting module. CHECK
system operates correctly If the concern persists:
REFER to:

LOCATE and RECTIFY break in the circuit(s)
