controlled by the IAA. If the coolant temperature

IAA turns the cooling fan off when the coolant
temperature is less than 35

also activate the fan during vehicle charging if the
DC/DC module is charging the auxiliary battery, or
when the air conditioning is operated.

IAA energizes the pump whenever the ignition key
is in the ON position and during traction battery
charging if the DC/DC module is charging the
auxiliary 12-volt battery. The electric fan is also
controlled by the IAA. If the coolant temperature

The following DTC relates to the Cooling System:
Inspection and Verification
•
DTC C1774 Coolant Temperature Sensor Out of
g to
Range
— The interface adapter assembly (IAA) module
operates the radiator cooling fan based on
coolant temperature. The IAA module uses the
coolant temperature sensor to monitor the
coolant temperature. The normal range of the
coolant temperature sensor is between -40
°
C
(-40
°
F) and 150
°
C (302
°
F). If the coolant
temperature sensor is reading out of range, the
IAA module sets DTC C1774.
