Ford F150 Pickup. Instruction — part 436

1. Remove the brake master cylinder (2A032). For additional information, refer to MASTER

CYLINDER .

2. Adjust the power brake booster to brake master cylinder push rod, vacuum applied.

1. Measure the power brake booster to brake master cylinder push rod.

2. If necessary, adjust the screw to the correct length. Refer to SPECIFICATIONS .

CAUTION: Do not apply the brake pedal with the master cylinder removed from

the booster.

3. Install the brake master cylinder. For additional information, refer to MASTER CYLINDER Section .

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

BRAKE BOOSTER

Removal

1. Remove the brake master cylinder (2140). For additional information, refer to MASTER CYLINDER .

2. Disconnect the power brake booster hose.

1. Compress the clamp.

2. Disconnect the power brake booster hose.

3. Remove the stoplight switch (13480) self-locking pin.

NOTE:

Use new nuts when installing the brake master cylinder.

4. Slide the stoplight switch and booster push rod off the brake pedal pin.

5. Remove the bulkhead sound insulator.
