7. Connect the battery negative cable. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND
CABLES .
CAUTION: When installing the brake pedal-to-accelerator pedal cable, the brake
pedal and the accelerator pedal must be in the same position, all the
way forward or all the way rearward.

8. Position the accelerator pedal using the brake pedal motor, all the way forward or backward, depending
on the position of the new brake pedal.
9. Remove the brake pedal-to-accelerator pedal cable from the accelerator pedal by pulling on the cable
retainer.

10. Position the brake pedal in the same position as the accelerator pedal, using the brake pedal motor.
11. Install the brake pedal-to-accelerator pedal cable in the accelerator pedal.
