REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
MODULE-GENERIC ELECTRONIC (GEM)/CENTRAL TIMER (CTM)
Removal
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Remove the steering column cover. Refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL -- STEERING COLUMN
CAUTION: Prior to removal of the GEM, it is necessary to upload module
configuration information to a diagnostic tool. This information
needs to be downloaded into the new module once installed. Refer to
MODULE CONFIGURATION-F150 .

3. Remove the (A) bulkhead electrical connectors from the (B) instrument panel fuse junction panel.

4. Remove the (A) instrument panel fuse junction panel bolts and remove the (B) interior fuse junction panel
nuts.

5. Disconnect the (A) GEM/CTM electrical connectors from the (B) GEM/CTM.

6. Remove the screws and the GEM/CTM.
