3. Install CBV fitting and tighten cooler line nuts to specifications. See Fig. 13 . Lower vehicle. Fill the
transaxle with appropriate fluid to proper level and check for correct transaxle operation. See
LUBRICATION . Start vehicle, apply both foot brakes and move gearshift lever through each gear
position.

ELECTRONIC PRESSURE CONTROL SOLENOID (4R70W)
Removal
1. Raise and support vehicle. Drain the transmission fluid and remove the transmission fluid pan and filter.
See DRAINING & REFILLING under LUBRICATION.
2. Remove the instruction control lever. See MANUAL LEVER SHAFT & SEAL . Carefully pry up on the
locking tabs to disconnect the solenoids. Disconnect the molded lead frame from the solenoids. See Fig.
14 .
3. Disconnect the shift solenoids "A" and "B". Disconnect the Torque Converter Clutch (TCC). Disconnect
the Electronic Pressure Control (EPC) solenoid.
4. Disconnect the bulkhead inter-connector. Remove the bolt and EPC solenoid bracket. See Fig. 15 .
Remove the EPC solenoid.
CAUTION: Do not pull on the molded lead frame. This may cause damage to the
connector ends.
