Installation

1. Install the fuel injectors. The CNG fuel rail has non-magnetic spacer blocks behind the fuel rail. Make

sure the spacer blocks are retained. Install the CNG fuel rail as an assembly. See Fig. 44 . Connect the
body ground. See Fig. 43 . Install the fuel line. Install the CNG fuel regulator mounting bolts and the
mounting plate. See Fig. 42 .

2. Install the CNG fuel pressure regulator electrical connector. Install the power steering reservoir upper

mounting bracket. See Fig. 41 . Install the PCV hose. Install a new intake manifold-to-throttle body
adapter gasket. Install the throttle body adapter. See Fig. 40 . Position the DPFE system bracket and
install the bolt and nut. See Fig. 38 .

3. Connect the fuel tubes (gasoline and CNG). Install the exhaust manifold-to-EGR valve tube. See Fig. 37 .

Tighten the upper fitting. Connect the two differential pressure feedback EGR system hoses. Connect the
brake booster vacuum tube, position the bracket and install the bolt. See Fig. 36 .

4. Connect the IAC electrical connector. Connect the DPFE system electrical connector. Connect the fuel

pressure regulator electrical connector. See Fig. 35 . Connect the TP sensor electrical connector and the
EGR vacuum regulator solenoid electrical and vacuum connectors. See Fig. 34 . Connect the EGR valve
vacuum hose.

5. Install the IAC fresh air tube. Connect the evaporative emission canister purge valve hose. Connect the

main vacuum harness. See Fig. 39 . Install the accelerator cable bracket. See Fig. 33 . Connect the

accelerator cable. Connect the speed control actuator cable. Install the throttle return spring. Install the air
cleaner outlet pipe. Connect the battery ground cable.

6. After installation is complete, fuel lines and fittings must be leak tested. See LEAK TEST - ALL BI-

FUEL VEHICLES under FUEL SYSTEMS in SYSTEM & COMPONENT TESTING - BI-FUEL -
GASOLINE/CNG article.

FUEL TANK

Removal & Installation

1. Release fuel pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE . Disconnect negative battery

cable. Remove fuel tank cover. See Fig. 45 . Disconnect electrical connectors and fuel lines. See Fig. 46 .
Remove upper fuel tank straps. See Fig. 47 . Position Floor Crane (014-00072), Separator Lift Bar (303-
F054), and Lifting Sling (100-D008) over fuel tank. Carefully raise fuel tank assembly from vehicle.

2. To install, reverse removal procedure. After installation is complete, fuel lines and fittings must be leak
