6. Using an appropriate pry tool, press the release tab in, remove the head restraint rod guides and discard.

Release tab is located beneath the head restraint release tab.

NOTE:

The LH and RH head restraint rod guides are not interchangeable.

NOTE:

Install new units during reassembly. The LH and RH head restraint rod
guides will be damaged during removal.

NOTE:

The LH and RH tower cap covers are not interchangeable.

7. Remove the LH, RH and front tower cap screw covers. Remove four tower cap attachment screws.

NOTE:

Observe retainer bracket orientation. Do not reverse bracket during
assembly.

8. Remove the two retainer bracket screws and the bracket.

9. Separate and remove the outer and the front safety belt web guides.
