not separate the diaphragm spring and
pressure plate of the pressure plate
assembly.


(III) Flywheel
Check if the any contact surface with the
wearing plate suffers any abnormal
abrasion or overheated spot. Replace or
repair if necessary.

(IV) Assembling the clutch
Please check if the flywheel and pressure plate surfaces are clean before assembly.
1. Fix the flywheel onto the crank shaft and screw fasten the set bolt as required.

2. Fix the input shaft bearing onto the
flywheel with a special tool (clutch
alignment guide rod)
3. Align the clutch wearing plate
assembly with the flywheel center with
the special tool, fix the pressure plate
assembly and bolt and then screw tight
the set bolts with the required torque.

Note:

When screwing tight the clutch pressure plate assembly’s set bolts, please manually
press the clutch wearing plate assembly and the special tool (clutch alignment guide
rod) to align the wearing plate assembly.
Screw tight the bolts of the clutch pressure plate assembly in the diagonal sequence.

4. Apply one film of lubricating grease onto the input shaft and then assemble the
gearbox and the engine together.


Note: when fixing the gearbox input shaft into the clutch wearing plate assembly,
please turn the flywheel until the gearbox input shaft is engaged with the splines.

Chapter Two: General Description of Manual Gearbox

I. General Description
The gearbox is a five-speed manual gearbox. All gears are provided with a synchronizer
except the reverse gear. The reverse gear is fixed onto the shaft and the reverse idler
wheel is supported by the reverse idler wheel shaft. The gearbox body is made of cast
iron and has roller bearing hole and bracket on it. The gearbox body consists of two parts.

The internal components of A15 gearbox can be disassembled for repair.

Caution: The gearbox output shaft can only be repaired as a whole but can’t be
disassembled and assembled. Otherwise, the gearbox will possibly be damaged.


II. Gearbox Markings
The type, component serial number and manufacturing date of the gearbox are indicated
on a metal label affixed at the end of the gearbox body and a bar code affixed on the front
part of the gearbox.
