The slowly
wiping motor
does not
function.

When the
ignition switch
is turned on, turn
the wiper switch
to (slowly
wiping) position,
the wiper motor
does not run.

(1) The slowly
wiping circuit of
the wiper motor
is open.
(2) There is
malfunction in
the 2/53m
intermittent
controller relay
and the wiper
switch.
(3)The wiper
motor slowly
wiping winding
is open.

(1) Power supply of
ignition switch ON.
(2) If the power supply
of ignition switch ON
works properly, check
the wiper switch.
(3) If the wiper switch
works properly, verify
that the slowly wiping
circuit of the wiper is
open.

4) Verify that the

green wire of the
motor connector has
electricity. If it has, it
indicates that the
slowly wiping winding
of the wiper motor is
open; If it has not, it
indicates that the
slowly wiping circuit
of the wiper is open.

The fast wiping
does not
function.

When the
ignition switch
is turned on, turn
the wiper switch
to (fast wiping)
position, the
wiper motor
does not run.

(1) The fast
wiping circuit of
the wiper motor
is open.
(2) There is
malfunction
with the wiper
switch.
(3) The circuit
of wiper motor
fast wiping
winding is open.

(1) Power supply of
ignition switch ON.
(2) If the power supply
of ignition switch
“ON” is normal, check
the wiper switch.
(3) If the wiper switch
works properly, verify
that the fast wiping
circuit of the wiper is
open, wiper motor

they are defective,
replace them.

The washer
motor does not

properly, replace the
washer motor.

The washer
functions, but
the wiper does
not function.

When the
ignition switch
is turned on, turn
the wiper switch

washer
functions, but
the wiper does
not function.

The intermittent
controller of the
wiper is
defective.

The washer functions,
but the wiper does not
function, it is mainly
because a malfunction
in the wiper
intermittent controller
results a circuit open
to the wiper motor, so
the wiper cannot
function. Replace the
wiper intermittent
controller.

ELECTRIC WINDOW REGULATOR SYSTEM

SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

The Chery sedan A15LHD employs an electric steel wire type window regulator. The
structure is shown in figure (window-1).

Electric window regulator (window-1)

The up/down operation of the window can be centrally controlled by the driver through
pushing buttons, and also can be controlled individually by the door switch to adjust the door
window opening. The mechanism transmission route is as follows: motor → speed reducer →
steel wire roller → steel wire → window supporting bracket → window up/down. The
control module is installed under the left-hand rear seat, as shown in the figure (window-2).
