(9) Install the special tool (Figure 54) to fix the camshaft and screw tight the tool bracket
bolts.
(10) Screw on the camshaft sprocket wheel bolts and use the special tool for the camshaft
to screw it tight with a torque of 115N.m (Figure 53).
(11) Screw tight the camshaft position sensor with a torque of 10N.m and plug in.
(12) Fix the valve chamber cover (see Engine/Cylinder Cover/ Valve Chamber Cover –
Fixing).
(13) Connect the storage battery cathode fittings.

Seven. Valve spring and valve oil seal
1. Unfixing sequence of the valve oil seal
(1) Detach the storage battery cathode fittings.
(2) Fix the valve chamber cover (see Engine/Cylinder Cover/ Valve Chamber Cover –
Unfixing).
(3) Unfix the intake and exhaust rocker arm assembly (see Engine/Cylinder
Cover/Cylinder Cover Rocker Arm/Adjustment – Unfixing).

3. Checking
Check the spring after the valve has been
unfixed, repaired or replaced (Figure 62).
For example: the valve spring’s
compressed length is 38mm. Check with
a special tool (see Engine – Description).

Eight. Intake/exhaust valves and valve
seat
1. Valve and valve seat surface
treatment
It is applicable for all valve and valve
dimensions and angles.
(1) Use proper mechanical tools to adjust
the valve.
(2) Please check the remaining edges
after the valve has been adjusted (Figure
63). The intake valve edge shall not be
smaller than 0.79mm.
The exhaust valve edge shall not be
smaller than 1.19mm and replace if not
so.

(3) After the valve seat is worn out and
can’t be used, its angle and width must
be repaired. Or the cylinder cover must
be replaced.
(4) Use proper mechanical tools to repair
and adjust the valve seat.
(5) The repair and adjustment values of
the valve seat must be correct.
(6) Measure the valve conduit and valve
seat with a dial indicator and the total
radial run-out shall not exceed 0.051mm.
(7) Check the sealing of valve seat.
