Vehicle Identification Number
The VIN is displayed at the centre top of the engine
bulkhead and on a plate behind the LH lower corner
of the windscreen.
Engine number
1.8 ’K’ Series Engine: Stamped on the front face of
the cylinder block adjacent to the gearbox.
2.0 ’L’ Series Engine: Stamped on the front face of
the cylinder block at top centre.
Gearbox number (3)
Manual Gearbox - PG1: Stamped on a label
attached to the front face of the clutch housing.

LIFTING AND TOWING

JACKING
The following instructions must be carried out before
raising the vehicle off the ground:
•
Use a solid level surface.
•
Apply parking brake.
•
Select 1st. gear in main gearbox and ensure
HDC is not selected.
CAUTION: To avoid damage to under body
components of the vehicle, adhere to the
following jacking procedures:
DO NOT POSITION JACKS OR AXLE STANDS
UNDER THE FOLLOWING COMPONENTS:
•
Bumpers
•
Brake or Fuel lines
•
Exhaust pipe
•
Suspension components
•
Steering rack and linkages
•
Fuel tank
•
Engine sump
•
Gearbox
Jack or support vehicle only on approved
jacking points as detailed in the illustration
below:
