3.2.5 Diagnostic information and procedures

3.2.5.1 Diagnosis descriptions

Refer to system 3.2.2 Description and operation and start system diagnosis. When malfunction occurs, refer to
Description and operation, as it will help to determine the correct symptoms diagnostic procedures. It will also
help to determine whether the condition the customer described is in normal. Refer to 3.2.2 Description and
operation to confirm the correct procedures for system diagnosis.

3.2.5.2 Clutch disengaging fault (Gearshift lever cannot select gears)

Fault definition: In the normal running condition of engine, step on the clutch pedal to the full travel, the gearshift
lever can not engage or disengage from a gear.

Check if there are obstacles under the clutch pedal.

A. Check if the floor cushion blocks the clutch pedal travel.

Check if there is an after-sale adding part, such as rubber flooring, etc., affecting the clutch pedal travel.

Check the pedal bushing for wear and tear.

Check if the clutch master pump is seized or blocked.

Step on the clutch pedal, and Check if the clutch release fork acts.

Check if the travel between the clutch pedal and clutch master pump is too large?

Exhaust hydraulic clutch pipe system. Refer to 3.2.6.4 hydraulic clutch exhaust. Does clutch release
fork work normally?

No

Yes

Repair the fault position

No

Yes

Go to Step 8

Yes

Replace pedal bushing.

No

Yes

Replace clutch master pump. Refer to
3.2.6.3 clutch master pumpr and pipe
removal and assembling

Yes

The system is normal.

Inspect for correct clutch pedal reserve:

A. Release the clutch pedal to the half travel.

B. Apply the clutch pedal several times.

C. Inspect to ensure the clutch pedal reserve is correct.

Can not the clutch master pump keep correct pedal surplus?

Dismantle Transmission assembly, Check if clutch driven disc was damaged? (Check if it was
warping or bending )

Dismantle transmission assembly; check if clutch pressure plate was damaged? (check if it was
warping or bending )

Dismantle the transmission assembly, Check if the clutch driven disc is biding on the transmission
input shaft axle?

The system is normal.

Check if clutch slave pump is struck or clamping stagnation? (Slave pump can be freely active under
the normal condition)

Check if the clutch master pump leaks internally.

No

Replace the clutch driven disc.

3.2.5.3 Clutch skidding fault

Faultdefinition: When 1st speed is selected and the clutch is fully engaged, the vehicle is difficult to start or can
not start.

Check if clutch pedal height is correct. Otherwise, clutch master pump can not be completely reset.
Measure the free stroke of clutch pedal. Refer to “3.2.8.4 free stroke adjustment of clutch pedal

Check whether the oil pipes are broken or damaged, thus causing the clutch slave pump oil pressure
can not be released in time.

Check if the clutch slave pump is blocked.

Check if the clutch master pump is blocked.

Check if the clutch driven disc is overheating.

Dismantle the transmission. Check if the clutch disc is contaminated by oil.

Dismantle the transmission. Check if the clutch driven disc is excessively worn and torn, or broken.
