Indicates a malfunction in the vehicle’s charging system

Immediately stop the vehicle in a safe place and

contact any authorized Lexus retailer or Lexus

authorized repairer, or any reliable repairer.

Indicates that:

• There is a high possibility of a frontal collision; or

• The pre-collision braking function is operating

A buzzer also sounds.

Check the vehicle’s surroundings and take evasive

action if necessary.

Indicates that your vehicle is nearing the vehicle ahead

(in vehicle-to-vehicle distance control mode)

Slow the vehicle by applying the brakes.

trol] system is operating)

Indicates that the LDA (Lane Departure Alert with steer-

ing control) system has determined that the driver does

not have the hands on the steering wheel while the steer-

ing control function is on

If the driver operates the steering wheel only a small

amount, the system may be unable to detect the steer-

ing wheel operations and this warning may be dis-

played.

Firmly hold the steering wheel.

Indicates that steering control function is temporarily

canceled due to the LDA (Lane Departure Alert with

steering control) system determining that the driver

does not have the hands on the steering wheel while the

steering control function is on

If the driver operates the steering wheel only a small

amount, the system may be unable to detect the steer-

ing wheel operations and this warning may be dis-

played.

Firmly hold the steering wheel.

Indicates that the driver’s door was opened with the shift

position in any position other than P

A buzzer also sounds.

Shift the shift position to P.

Indicates that one or more of the doors is not fully closed

The system also indicates which doors are not fully

closed.

If the vehicle reaches a speed of 5 km/h (3 mph),

flashes and a buzzer sounds to indicate that

the door(s) are not yet fully closed.

Make sure that all the doors are closed.

Indicates that the hood is not fully closed

Close the hood.

Indicates that the back door is not fully closed

If the vehicle reaches a speed of 5 km/h (3 mph),

flashes and a buzzer sounds to indicate that

the back door is not yet fully closed.

Close the back door.

Indicates a malfunction in the Lexus parking assist-sen-

sor

All the sensor lights come on.

A buzzer also sounds.

Indicates that the shift position has been in N and the

hybrid battery (traction battery) has not been charged

for period of time

A buzzer also sounds.

When stopping the vehicle for a long period of time,

shift the shift position to P. The battery cannot be

charged with the shift position in N.

Indicates that the vehicle is being driven at 5 km/h (3

mph) or more with the parking brake still engaged

Release the parking brake.

Indicates a malfunction in the shift control system

A buzzer also sounds.

Have the vehicle inspected at any authorized Lexus

retailer or Lexus authorized repairer, or any reliable

repairer immediately.

• The hybrid system may not be able to start.

• The parking lock mechanism may not operate. Also,

shifting the shift position to P may not be possible.

When parking, choose a level place and apply the

parking brake securely.

• The automatically P position selection function (

P. 274)

may not operate. Before turning the power switch off,

securely press the P position switch, and be sure to check

that the shift position is in P by verifying the shift position

indicator or P position switch indicator.

• The power switch may not be able to be turned off. In

this case, the power switch can be turned off by apply-

ing the parking brake.

• The 12-volt battery may not be charged sufficiently. In

this case, charge or replace the 12-volt battery.

After charging the 12-volt battery, the message may

continue to be displayed until the shift position is

shifted from P.

Indicates a malfunction in the shift control system

A buzzer also sounds.

Have the vehicle inspected at any authorized Lexus

retailer or Lexus authorized repairer, or any reliable

repairer immediately.

If not inspected, vehicle systems may not operate

properly.

the 12-volt battery voltage was low.

Recharge or replace the 12-volt battery.

Indicates that the shift lever and P position switch were

repeatedly operated in quick succession.

Wait approximately 20 seconds and change the

shift position.

An attempt was made to shift the shift position from P or

N to B.

Shift the shift position to D, and then shift the shift

position to B.

The operation conditions of the front camera (tempera-

ture, etc.) are not met.

When the operation conditions of the front camera

(temperature, etc.) are met, the following systems

will become available.

• PCS (Pre-Collision System)

• LDA (Lane Departure Alert with steering control)

• RSA (Road Sign Assist)

• Automatic High Beam

(If equipped)

Dirt, rain, condensation, ice, snow, etc., are present on

the windshield in front of the front camera.

The following systems may be suspended until the

problem shown in the message is resolved.

• PCS (Pre-Collision System)

• LDA (Lane Departure Alert with steering control)

• RSA (Road Sign Assist)

• Automatic High Beam

Turn the system off, remove any dirt, rain, condensa-

tion, ice, snow, etc., from the windshield, and then

turn the system back on.

Indicates that the radar cruise control sensor is dirty or

covered with ice

Clean the sensor.

Indicates that the dynamic radar cruise control system is

unable to judge vehicle-to-vehicle distance

Warning message in radar cruise mode (if equipped)

In the following situations, the warning message may not be displayed even if vehicle-to-

vehicle distance decreases:

When your vehicle and the vehicle ahead are traveling at the same speed or the vehicle

ahead is traveling more quickly than your vehicle

When the vehicle ahead is traveling at a very low speed

Immediately after cruise control speed is set

At the instant the accelerator pedal is depressed
