Check continuity between terminals 3 of ABS solenoid relay and each solenoid
terminal of skid control ECU.

CHECK:
Check continuity between terminal 3 of R/B No. 2 (for ABS sole-
noid relay) and terminal AST of skid control ECU
OK:

Continuity

HINT:
There is a resistance of 26 – 40 Ω between terminals A7 – 4 and
A7 – 5 of brake actuator.

NG

Repair or replace harness or brake actuator.

OK

Check for open and short circuit in harness and connector between ABS sole-
noid relay and skid control ECU (See page IN–32).

NG

Repair or replace harness or connector.

OK

If the same code is still output after the DTC is deleted, check the contact condition of each con-
nection. If the connections are normal, the ECU may be defective.

If any trouble occurs in the engine control system, the ECU prohibits BA & TRC & VSC control.

Brake Fluid Level Warning Switch

CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION

The brake fluid level warning switch sends the appropriate signal to the ECU when the brake fluid level drops.
HINT:
Depress the parking brake pedal and also turns on the brake warning light but does not diagnose DTC No.

ECU terminal IG1 voltage is 9.5 V to 17.2 V and open cir-

cuit for the brake fluid level warning switch circuit continues

for 2 sec. or more.
