DISASSEMBLY

NOTICE:

S

Disassembling and reassembling should be con-
ducted on a clean vinyl sheet or mat, or aluminum
tray.

S

Make the valve slide through the valve hole by its own
weight. Do not forcibly pull out the valve using needle
nose pliers. When having difficulty in removing it,
slant and shake the valve body or use a magnet hand.

S

Do not place the disassembled parts directly on metal
work bench or waste cloth.

S

Do not use dropped parts.

S

Make sure that no burr is identified before assem-
bling.

CHECK PRIMARY REGULATOR VALVE POSITION

Write down the relative position of the primary regulator valve
sleeve, the plug and the pin.
NOTICE:
Because the line pressure is changed by the position of the
pin and the groove in the sleeve end, make sure to check
the position.

REMOVE SOLENOID VALVE

(a)

Remove the 5 bolts and 5 solenoid valves.

3.

REMOVE LOWER VALVE BODY

Remove the 8 bolts.

Remove the 7 bolts, cover and gasket.

(c)

Remove the bolt, cover and 2 pressure relief balls.

(d)

Using snap ring pliers, remove the 2 snap rings.

(e)

Remove the 2 plates from the valve body.

(f)

Remove the 4 springs from the valve body.

(g)

Remove the 2 pistons from the valve body.

(h)

Remove the 7 bolts from the lower valve body.
