The wireless door lock ECU automatically performs LOCK–UNLOCK once at a
1 sec. interval to inform the technician that it has received the signal from the
transmitter.

Press transmitter switch for at least 1 sec.

Close the driver’s door, then open it.

Again press the transmitter switch for at least 1 sec.

The wireless door lock ECU automatically performs LOCK–UNLOCK once or
twice at a 1 sec. interval to inform the technician that it has received the signal
from the transmitter.

LOCK–UNLOCK occurs once

LOCK–UNLOCK occurs twice

Registration of recognition code is completed

Registration of recognition code has not been completed.

Recognition code received first time and second time did not match.

When selecting add mode, a recognition code indicating registration

completed was already received.

To continue registration

If even one of the following condition s exists, registration of recognition codes
in completed.

20 secs. elapses since the wireless door lock ECU response.

The driver’s door is closed.

The key plate is inserted in the ignition key cylinder.

PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE

Perform troubleshooting of the circuit for the applicable problem symptom in the order given in the chart be-
low. Proceed to the page located for each circuit.
HINT:

Troubleshooting of the wireless door lock control system is based on the premise that the door lock
control system and theft deterrent system are operating normally. Accordingly, before troubleshooting
the wireless door lock control system, first make certain that the door lock control system and theft de-
terrent system are operating normally.

If the instruction ”Proceed to next circuit inspection shown on matrix chart” is given in the flow chart
for each circuit, proceed to the circuit with the next highest number in the table to continue the check.

If the trouble still reappears even through there are no abnormalities in any of the other circuits, check
and replace the Wireless Door Lock ECU as the last step.
