10. Remove the floor mat holders (A) from the driver's side, and release the clip (B) from middle of the

carpet (C).

11. Release the hooks (D) with a flat-tip screwdriver by pushing the screwdriver toward the door, then lift

upwards. Pull the fastener (E) out, then remove the carpet.

12. Install the carpet in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:

z

Take care not to damage, wrinkle or twist the carpet.

z

Make sure the seat harnesses and antenna lead are routed correctly.

z

Replace the clip if it's damaged.

With side curtain airbag:

z

Reconnect the negative cable to the battery.

z

Reset the clock.

z

Enter the anti-theft codes for the radio and the navigation system, then enter the customer's radio
station presets.

z

Perform the power window control unit reset procedure (see RESETTING THE POWER
WINDOW ).

CONSOLES

CENTER CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. M/T model: Loosen the lock nut (A) to remove the shift knob (B).

NOTE:

z

When prying with a flat-tip screwdriver, wrap it with protective tape to
prevent damage.

z

Take care not to scratch the front seat, dashboard, and related parts.
