3. Inspect the connector and socket terminals to be sure they are all making good contact.

If the terminals are bent, loose or corroded, repair them as necessary, and recheck the system.

z

If the terminals look OK, go to step 4.

4. With the control unit still disconnected, make these input tests at the connector:

z

If any test indicates a problem, find and correct the cause, then recheck the system.

z

If all the input tests prove OK, the combination switch control unit must be faulty, replace the
wiper/washer switch.

RELAY CONTROL MODULE INPUT TEST

1. Remove the under-hood fuse/relay box under cover.

2. Disconnect the 10P connector (A) from the under -hood fuse/relay box (B).

If all the input tests prove OK, the relay control module must be faulty, replace the under-hood
fuse/relay box.
